This year marked the official launch of Foundry – a provincial initiative focused on transforming access to mental health care and support services for young people aged 12-24.
Providence is proud to be the host and backbone organization of Foundry.
Foundry involves the development of a province-wide network of youth wellness centres that bring a variety health and social services together under one roof, making it easier for young people to find help. In Foundry centres, a team of care and service providers work with each young person to create a plan for wellness and help equip them with the tools, support and strategies they need to thrive in life.
The new centres will be modeled in part on the Granville Youth Health Centre in Vancouver, which is a project of Providence Health Care’s St. Paul’s Inner City Youth Program.
